It is finally that time of the year again when Girl Scouts are selling their cookies in the local area! There are a variety of different flavors to choose from, and it may be difficult to choose. My family and I have been buying cookies from Girl Scouts for years, and I will be ranking the best flavors to buy based on my opinion.
- Shortbread
The shortbread cookie is the original recipe of a Girl Scout cookie. They are very simple, but have a great flavor if you want a cookie that does not have too much on it. These cookies go great with a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of milk. Though they are 5 on the list, they are still one of the best options.
- Lemonades
Lemonades have a burst of flavor when you take a bite into one. They really do have a decent lemon flavor, so if you like lemons, you will enjoy them. The base of the cookie is shortbread while the icing is a tangy lemon. If you want a sweet cookie, but it does not overpower with sweetness, this is the one for you.
- Peanut butter patties
For all my peanut butter lovers, these cookies are perfect for you and are also vegan! There is an ideal ratio between the chocolate and peanut butter in this cookie which makes it great, not to mention how the chocolate melts in your mouth. It is a fantastic choice to go with if you want something chocolatey with a twist!
- Caramel deLites
Caramel deLites are a very popular Girl Scout cookie option, as they are made of caramel, chocolate and coconut. Some may not like this combination, but it truly tastes amazing if you like all three of those flavors. The cookie is not overwhelmingly sweet, and there is a good ratio between the flavors of the cookie.
- Thin mints
Hands down, Thin Mints are the best Girl Scout cookie there is. If you love mint chocolate chip ice cream, you will love this cookie. There is a thin layer of chocolate on the outside with a crunchy, minty inside. The cookies are also a smaller size, meaning many of them come in one pack. The flavor of this cookie does not compare to the other ones, as it is a simple, classic cookie.
