- Avocados 🥑
Avocados are a grocery staple because they are rich in fiber and a healthy fat. They are great on sourdough bread and with eggs! They keep you full for longer periods, good for hormone balance and your skin barrier. I love avocados and put them on almost everything I eat, and even eat them plain occasionally. 10/10.
- Eggs 🍳
Eggs are great, offering a great source of protein, super affordable, and versatile. You can have them hard-boiled, sunny-side up, or scrambled. What makes eggs even better is that they aren’t only for breakfast, but they taste great for lunch or dinner. I love eggs so much, especially with hot sauce. 11/10.
- Cottage Cheese 🐮
Out of everything on the list, this is the one you need. Cottage cheese is incredible. Once you start, you seriously can never stop. It is a high-protein, low-calorie snack, and you can have it sweet or salty. I usually substitute yogurt with cottage cheese and top it with strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and a drizzle of honey. Cottage cheese supports muscle and hair growth. My favorite brand is Good Culture. ∞/10.
- Greek Yogurt (Plain) 🥣
Greek yogurt offers many health benefits, including high protein and probiotics. Plain Greek yogurt is good for a pre-gym session. Eating it with fruit or swapping it for sour cream in meals. It’s low in calories and helpful when you’re on the go and need something quick. I usually have plain Greek yogurt in the morning with fruit, and have used it in tacos instead of sour cream. 9/10.
