Salisbury High School is set to celebrate one of the most anticipated events of the year: the annual fall homecoming dance, as part of the exciting week of school spirit and community celebration.
The homecoming week festivities will begin Monday, Oct. 6, with a spirit week planned by the SHS Class Advisory. Each day will feature themed dress-up days designed to bring the Salisbury student body together.
The week’s energy will peak on Friday, Oct. 10, when the entire school gathers in the gym for a pep rally filled with games, performances, and announcements leading up to the homecoming football game later that evening. The falcons will take the field at 7 p.m. at the SHS stadium, and a homecoming parade that will showcase student organizations, sports teams and class floats.
Topping off the week’s celebrations, the homecoming dance will take place on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the auxiliary gym. This year’s theme, “Under the Lanterns,” draws inspiration from the magical floating lights of Disney’s Tangled, an enchanting evening of music, dancing and memories.
Senior class president Dylan Jarjous and other members of the senior class advisory worked intensely to plan this annual event.
He said, “I really wanted everyone to feel included and to enjoy the night — not just the music, but the overall atmosphere and sense of senior unity.”
This year, the senior class expects a big turnout for the dance, compared to previous years. “Ultimately, I hope that everyone leaves with great memories and feels like this homecoming brought our class closer together.”
Tickets are now on sale. Digital tickets in advance for $15 plus a service charge. Tickets will also be available at the door for $20, payable by cash or check made out to “SHS Class of 2026.” Students are encouraged to buy them in advance online due to the deadline being Oct. 9.
As the lanterns are lit and the music starts, SHS students can look forward to a night full of school pride, laughter and lasting memories. The perfect way to close out Homecoming Week 2025.
