Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show returned on Oct. 15, 2024, after retiring their fashion shows in 2018. Many famous and well-known supermodels participated in the show, especially some original angels from the 2000s have returned.
Some original angels are Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, Doutzen Kroes, Tyra Banks, Jasmine Tookes, Barbara Palvin, Alessandra Ambrosio and others.
Other well-known models who participated in the show were Kate Moss, Irina Shayk, Carla Bruni, Alex Consani, Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid and more. Photo taken by Kevin Mazur – U.S Weekly
The artists who sang in the show were Lisa, Tyla, and Cher. Lisa is a Korean singer who is also part of a group called Blackpink. Tyla is a famous South African singer, and Cher is a well-known singer from the 1970s.
Victoria’s Secret decided to make their comeback since people were asking for it and so they did, although most people were taken aback after the show ended. They expected huge wings, blowouts, and more energy during the show.
“I feel like the last fashion shows were better because their walks were more powerful than this fashion show,” Monique Calderon said.
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was on a tight budget this year since it had lost 20 million dollars in five years. This made the show less underwhelming than the ones it had back then.
“It was so low budget compared to the show with Justin Timberlake in it, it was a lot worse like they downgraded. They could’ve been better with the walks and hair. It was mostly all slick backs and small wings,” Lacey Wallace said.
Victoria’s Secret reused the same wings from the 2018 shows since they spent all of their budget on paying the models to attend the shows, meaning they couldn’t afford many new wings.
“This year they kind of looked tacky compared to what it was back then with the really cute big wings. They looked like they did not want to be there,” said Caleb Wygand.
Overall, there will be more Victoria’s Secret Fashion Shows in the future. There is a high chance that they will bring out huge wings and blowouts since they are gaining more money from high sales and coming back in trend.
