Why Taylor Swift shouldn’t be forgotten

Taylor Swift has captivated the hearts of millions of fans of her music
Taylor Swift has captivated the hearts of millions of fans of her music

As the pop star grew more and more famous overtime, especially after her big Eras Tour concert this past summer, she was all anyone had talked about. She has broken the internet with her voice, relatable songs and her special talent for music. But after months of people admiring her success, many people on TikTok started to grow a dislike for her and began to grow tired of hearing about her. But I personally don’t feel that way about her. I agree she is majorly popular and I will admit that sometimes I feel a similar way when she’s brought up 24/7, but I could never hate her, and here’s why.

  1. Her capability of range

Taylor Swift has always been amazingly talented, even when she was 15 and creating her debut album. But what is so amazing about her, is that each one of her albums are different in style, unlike other artists. For example, in 2017 her album “Reputation” was a shock to everyone, since she hadn’t released such a dark and revenging album. But two years later, “Lover” was released and her songs were so peaceful and sweet. I felt a huge gap between the two.

  1. Her dedication to her fans

This past year, Taylor began her worldwide tour, called the Eras Tour, where she proceeded to hold a 3-4 hour concert, going through each era, or each album in her career. The concerts were very very well attended and she even came out with a recorded movie that Swifties could watch and stream from their homes, in case they weren’t able to attend the in-person concert. So many hearts were warmed after the concert, and she gained so much more respect from everyone. On February 11, 2024, right before the Super Bowl, Taylor performed a full concert in Tokyo, Japan right before attending the game to support Travis Kelce, her boyfriend.

  1. Her collaborations with different artists

Taylor Swift became more famous after collaborating with such iconic artists, such as Lana Del Rey, Bon Iver, and so many more. This expanded her horizon and she gained more fans from the ones who followed certain artists she wrote music with. Because of this, she made so many friends and is still loved by these artists to this day.

Taylor Swift is such a kind, whole-hearted person who doesn’t deserve the backlash the haters send towards her. Just because she’s so popular, and a big contributor to conversations, doesn’t mean she is overrated and shouldn’t receive the love she gets. Fortunately, Swift isn’t the person to give up and give in to the haters, so I don’t believe she would stop pursuing music. A voice like hers, should be praised and remembered all the time.
